The ACC Liverpool Group operates the city's waterfront event campus – the interconnected M&S Bank Arena, ACC Liverpool and Exhibition Centre Liverpool - as well as ticketing agency Ticket Quarter and the Pullman Liverpool Hotel.
Playing a leading role in shining a spotlight on Liverpool, we have successfully staged a wide array of national and international events, including the Eurovision Song Contest last year and in 2024, we will be hosting Labour Party Conference, in addition to a packed programme of entertainment and business events.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement lead to join our management team to continue the delivery of our well-established procurement function. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will offer a procurement expert the scope to lead on procurement projects including managing and overseeing all the tendering activity and engaging with and supporting our managers with the procurement of products and services aligned to our social value and procurement strategies.
Given the imminent launch of the Procurement Act in October 2024, and the introduction of new public sector procurement regulations, this new role will also offer the opportunity to influence and shape The ACC Liverpool Group’s procurement strategy and policies whilst embracing all the benefits the new legislation will bring to support the delivery of an efficient procurement service across our business.
The ideal candidate should be CIPS qualified or working towards the qualification and have experience of leading on tender processes, advising on procurement matters in a commercially focused organisation and be able to own the continuous improvement of the procurement function.
This role will be integral to how we deliver events and our services, therefore possessing enthusiasm about procurement and having experience to lead staff, guide and advise on procurement issues are all essential.
