The ACC Liverpool Group operates the city's waterfront event campus – the interconnected M&S Bank Arena, ACC Liverpool and Exhibition Centre Liverpool - as well as ticketing agency Ticket Quarter and the Pullman Liverpool Hotel.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR leader to become a valued member of our Senior Management Team, leading our people strategies, initiatives and services. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to use their experience to help deliver our business vision and strategy through an active role supporting our ongoing transformation journey.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated leader with experience across the full employment life cycle, an excellent understanding of UK employment law and people practices, and the ability to cultivate collaborative working relationships within our senior management team and across the wider business.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the People department, leading a team of 5 (with two direct reports of People Manager an OD Manager)  to deliver a highly professional HR service across the employee lifecycle, employee relations, performance management, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, talent management and succession, employee communications and engagement, through to upskilling managers and leaders on how to effectively manage people practices across a hybrid and diverse workforce.

The ideal candidate will have experience of developing and delivering a variety of people strategies to support the organisations goals and ambitions. In addition, they will have experience in developing culture change programmes, leadership and management programmes and implementing HR systems to improve organisational efficiency and deliver responsive people management services.

The successful candidate will have experience in unionised environments, TUPE and all areas of employee relations. Experience of operating local government pension schemes and local government terms and conditions is not essential but is advantageous.
