ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

This website complies with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines and is based on the list below:

  • For every non-text element a text equivalent is provided.
  • If frames are used meaningful and useful NOFRAMES content are provided.
  • The use of images of text are avoided wherever possible, and equivalent text links for consisting of images are provided.
  • Relative rather than absolute units in markup language attribute values and style sheet property values are used, and it is ensured that information can still be accessed if the user changes the font size.
  • Heading elements are uses to convey document structure and not for visual formatting.
  • Changes in the natural language of a document's text and any text equivalents are clearly identified.
  • For data tables, row and column headers are identified.
  • Tables for layout are not used unless the table makes sense when linearized.
  • If a table is used for layout, no structural markup for the purpose of visual formatting is used.
  • Page template layouts are organized so they may be read without style sheets, and it is ensured that information can still be accessed if the user changes the text and background colours.
  • Screen does not flicker.
  • No unnecessary automatic refresh, redirect or timeout pages without warning the user.
  • Links and controls are keyboard navigable, and create a logical tab order through links, form controls, and objects.
  • No pop-ups or other windows appear, and the current window is not changed without informing the user.
  • All form controls have labels and these labels are properly positioned.
  • If frames are used, each frame has a meaningful NAME and TITLE to facilitate frame identification and navigation.
  • The target of each link is identified.
  • Each page has a unique TITLE to aid users in orienting themselves within the site.
  • The main language used on a web page is specified within the HTML.
  • A valid doctype declaration is included at the start of the page code, and the HTML code is valid and correctly structured.
  • A 'skip to main content' link is provided at the start of each page.
  • No use of ASCII art.
  • The text content is legible.
  • The session timeout feature is explained to users.
