Thousands of Comic Con fans took over Exhibition Centre Liverpool as the venue was transformed into a world of cult entertainment.
Visitors arrived in their droves sporting weird and wonderful costumes ranging from stormtroopers to Deadpool.
Fans of movies, comics, video games and sci-fi attended the event, which was the venue’s biggest public exhibition to date since opening six months ago.
Stars of the cult world mingled with visitors including the original Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner; Assassin’s Creed stars Paul Amos and Victoria Atkin; Red Dwarf’s Kryten and Primeval actors Hannah Spearritt and Andrew Lee Potts.
The exhibition included a Comic Village, Totally Cosplay area and Street Fighter V tournaments.
Bob Prattey, chief executive of The ACC Liverpool Group, said: “We were thrilled to welcome MCM Comic Con, organisers of the UK’s largest cult entertainment events, to Liverpool for the first time. It was fantastic to host this exhibition as we celebrate six months since opening Exhibition Centre Liverpool, the latest addition to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena.
“The exhibition centre was transformed into a world of superheroes, comic book favourites, video and film characters and sci-fi stars.
“Thousands of fans got into the spirit of this exciting exhibition and donned weird and wonderful costumes.”
